How I came to be here:
Lost my mummy and sole owner to Covid in 2021 and her family already with many dogs simply could not take me on. That’s when Animal Lifeline came to the rescue!
What am I like:
My late mummy thought I was great getting on with all her wide family an their dogs except for Snapper with her son – he simply went out of his way to bark and snap at me hence his name. I do love my bed or to be truthful any bed especially human ones and sofas! I think I am generally a good companion accept strangers visiting the home and even tolerate furries. That was with my mum so it may take me a while to adjust and repeat my best attributes in any new home. By the way I love chewing my toys but only toys. I am completely housetrained and have never soiled my kennel here.
When I am out and about:
I was brought to Serendipity in a van and have twice been to the vets in that same vehicle. Enjoyed the ride and lay down in my cage at the back. That’s where I always sat in my mum’s car too.
I really enjoy my walks normally a couple a day and I promise not to pull too much but if I meet a Snapper type dog whilst out and he barks, I might break that rule. Evening walks always long, kept us both fit. Love stopping for lots of sniffs and am always curious about passerbys. If there’s a pond or lake on the walk I really do enjoy a swim.
Am I healthy and fit?
Passed in vet check with flying colours on coming to Animal Lifeline and have been fully vaccinated and free of any medication during my stay. As to fitness, I think I am. I have been neutered and I am microchipped.
My Ideal new home:
I’d like one rather like my last – quiet, sometimes busy with humans doing things, full run of the house (loved my mum’s bed), a comfy dog’s bed in a warm corner, lots of chewable toys (I will shred a Kong one day) and good food. Hopefully my new parents will accept how sad I was at losing my mummy and help me settle in to their environment with care, love, understanding and determination my make me a full family member.
