About us
‘If you care, think canine – think Animal Lifeline’Â
Animal Lifeline is a registered charity (1041362) with The Charity Commission, England & Wales. Our stated aim is to care for abandoned dogs and puppies and find them new homes in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire region. This involves housing them at our Serendipity rescue kennels based in Cellarhead, Stoke on Trent.
We are a self-funding charity, relying on the efforts of local dog lovers and others willing to help both with donations, and by volunteering.
We have dedicated staff and volunteers that ensure the dogs get the very best care. From walks, field play, training, socialising, days out and much more!
Each year the charity rescues and re-homes around 300 dogs and puppies and has saved more than 11,000 over the years . It always has at least 65 dogs in its Serendipity Kennels, awaiting to be rehomed. As a charity, we do not have dogs put down unless on veterinary grounds. Those that cannot be found new homes are kept in the sanctuary as part of the Animal Lifeline family.
At this time, we do not re-home dogs outside of North Staffordshire and South Cheshire as, like all responsible dog rescues, we need to carry out a home visit. Only under special circumstances will be try to rehome outside of the above regions.
You will find it helpful to go to the Adopting From Us page. Here, you can find out more about our re-homing process before you visit the kennels.
