Volunteer & Help Us

Animal Lifeline is totally self-supporting, relying on its own fund-raising efforts and public donations. We do not receive any local authority or Government grants.

We employ salaried kennel staff, but the charity’s management and even its shop staff are all unpaid volunteers, people dedicated to the care and welfare of dogs through their love of the species.  Why not join them to help us?

Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of Animal Lifeline – we could not undertake the work we do for the canine community without them!

The situation changes frequently regarding volunteers for the kennels but there is generally always demand for people to help in our shops , offering ‘manpower’ at fayres, fetes and open days or and joining our collections team – stints with a bucket mainly in supermarkets across our area.

All volunteers MUST be aged 18 or over to meet insurance requirements. If you are interested in giving us some of your time and support, please get in touch with us by telephone or email  – see our contact page –  to discuss just how your offer to volunteer can help the charity and what you can do.  If you email us please ensure you give a telephone contact number as we will telephone you.

If you cannot help us by volunteering, then helping us raise money is the next best thing you can do to help Animal Lifeline – see Donations & Fundraising.
